KATHMANDU, JUN 20 - UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed the Supreme Court interim order to temporarily halt the implementation of the 16-point agreement , will be stopped through judicial measures.
Dahal made such claim while speaking to journalists after meeting President Ram Baran Yadav at Sheetal Niwas on Saturday morning.
“We are not intending to defame the honour of court,” said Dahal, “Therefore we will knock the door of court in order to nullify the SC decision.”
According to Dahal, President Yadav advised him to promulgate the new constitution through consensus only after bringing all the dissenting parties to an understanding.
A single bench of Justice Girish Chandra Lal issued the order on Friday, directing the defendants not to implement the political pact until another ruling comes as per Articles 1, 82, and 138 of the Interim Constitution.
